The children of Makfalva have the opportunity to join us every Saturday for our Good News club. We use this time to teach them how to stay clean, look after themselves, share the gospel through songs, stories and role-play. The children love the chance to work and play together while learning more about Jesus. Due to the increasing numbers, we offer a creche play area for our younger kids.
Every month our children are learning a different bible verse from the Bible. They are loving this challenge. Our children have also been learning a variety of songs in Hungarian, Romanian and English. We love the opportunity to put on shows for the parents.
Christmas Nativity Show, December 2016
After many weeks of practice for our Christmas Nativity show, we had the opportunity to invite the parents of our BBCH kids to come and join us. We have also been very fortunate to have more and more children attend in recent weeks so the BBCH house was full!
All our children were dressed up and with huge smiles on their faces as they shared the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. They memorised verses, sang songs and acted out the nativity scene. Every child did a fantastic job and we are so proud of their commitment to making this event so special.
We had over 60 children in attendance and for all their hard work and determination throughout the year, we gave them the wonderful surprise of sharing a personalised 'Love in a Box' full of many gifts. Children and adults from Budapest (HU) helped make this gift possible as they carefully chose gifts for their sponsored child. Students at the British International School of Budapest had the unique opportunity to knit a scarf for their sponsored child. Many of them did not know how to knit when they first took on this challenge but in the end we were able to give a knitted scarf to every child as students, parents and teachers all worked to make this possible.
We know that there are many people who make events like this possible by giving their time, donations and their love! So, we would like to say a massive thank you to all of you.
